About the Chamber

The Norristown Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2015 by a group of local business owners who saw the need for a unified voice to support commerce and civic life in Norristown. What began as a small network of entrepreneurs invested in their community has since grown into one of the leading business organizations in Montgomery County.

Over the years, the Chamber expanded its role well beyond networking, building a full calendar of programming that spans educational workshops, government engagement, and signature special events, including the now-anticipated annual Fuel Your Growth pitch competition. As Norristown's downtown began to see renewed investment and activity, the Chamber stepped into a broader role in revitalization efforts, forming partnerships such as its work with Block by Block Services to help manage and activate public space in the heart of the borough.

Today, the Norristown Chamber of Commerce stands as a leading voice for business in Montgomery County, serving Norristown and the surrounding communities of East Norriton, West Norriton, Plymouth Township, and Bridgeport, and convening entrepreneurs, elected officials, and community institutions around a shared commitment to a thriving, connected, and economically vibrant Norristown.

Block by Block

In 2025, the Norristown Chamber of Commerce partnered with Block by Block, a national leader in downtown improvement services, to launch the Norristown Ambassadors program. This Clean and Safe initiative brought street-level services to downtown Norristown and continues to support a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming experience for residents, visitors, and business owners.

Block by Block operates in over 170 U.S. cities, bringing a modern, high-accountability approach to urban maintenance and hospitality. Their Ambassador teams work throughout downtown Norristown, engaging directly with the community while helping keep public spaces clean and inviting.

This partnership brings together the Municipality of Norristown, the Norristown Chamber of Commerce, and Montgomery County in a shared commitment to downtown revitalization.

Since launching, our Ambassadors have become a visible, active presence at community events. At the 2025 Norristown Juneteenth Celebration, they connected with state representatives, county commissioners, and local business owners. They also joined Chamber board members Kym Ramsey, Brad McLaughlin, and John George at the Trail Junction Center Groundbreaking Ceremony, celebrating the $4.7 million transformation of the historic Norristown Freight Station, a project expected to be complete by the end of 2026.
