Norristown Launches Block by Block Program to Enhance Downtown Cleanliness and Hospitality

The Norristown Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of a new Clean and Safe initiative in partnership with Block by Block, a national leader in downtown improvement services. Beginning this summer, Block by Block’s Ambassador Program will be implemented throughout downtown Norristown to support a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming experience for residents, visitors, and business owners.

SMART Solutions for Cleaner, Safer Streets

The Block by Block program will operate under a flexible, turnkey model, managing all aspects of service delivery, staffing, scheduling, and reporting. Norristown Ambassadors will be equipped with tools and technology—including the SMART System, a proprietary platform that tracks cleaning activity, community interactions, and graffiti removal to provide transparency and measure impact.

Norristown Juneteenth Celebration

At the 2025 Norristown Juneteenth Celebration, we had the wonderful opportunity to introduce our Norristown Ambassadors to the wider community. This special moment brought together state representatives, county commissioners, local business owners, and community members to celebrate history, unity, and progress.

Our Ambassadors were proud to share their mission and connect with local leaders, building relationships that will help strengthen and uplift Norristown. It was an inspiring day filled with meaningful conversations, community pride, and celebration.

Trail Junction Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

Our Norristown Ambassadors, along with Chamber board members Kym Ramsey, Brad McLaughlin, and John George, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Trail Junction Center — a $4.7 million project that will transform the historic Norristown Freight Station into a vibrant hub for commerce, community, and connection.

From coffee and local art to live performances and bike facilities, the Trail Junction Center will bring new energy to downtown Norristown and create a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike.

We’re proud to see this incredible investment in our community’s growth and can’t wait to watch it come to life by the end of 2026!
